Blaenau Gwent PB Planning Group Invitation
Participatory Budgeting – helping Blaenau Gwent recover from Covid-19!
Blaenau Gwent Public Services Board partners have commissioned MutualGain to help establish a Participatory Budgeting (PB) programme focused on supporting the Blaenau Gwent community recover from the COVID 19 pandemic.
PB is a simple process that works with partners and a residents’ group to enable local projects and programme to bid for funding for ideas that will help the community emerge from the pandemic.
MutualGain has a great deal of experience of delivering PB projects across the country, most recently in the Newport area
So, if you live in the Blaenau Gwent area, and would like to play a part in shaping this opportunity of helping the community recover from COVID, then please come along to our information sessions. We are looking for 20 to 30 residents to sign-up to be a part of the planning group, making key decisions in relation to the PB process.
Members of the group will be given training and take part in a series of supported delivery sessions to shape the programme, invite bidders to apply for funding, judge whether applications fit the set criteria, and plan the decision day where the wider community will be invited to vote.
In order to provide some detail as to what this entails, we are holding two x one hour information sessions. You can use the link below to sign up for one or both of these sessions.
