Stevenage’s Citizens’ Panel on Climate Change

We would like to invite a selection of Stevenage residents to attend a Citizens’ Panel where we will share learning about the Climate Emergency that the Council has declared. The panel will meet over four evenings in October to hear expert witnesses and discuss their opinions on climate change, as well as Stevenage’s plans moving forward. To say thank you for the time that residents give up to help us we will be giving them £100 each at the end of the four online discussions as a token of goodwill for their volunteered time.

Once we have a pool of registered applicants we will then randomly select 26 people to attend the panel. We are looking for residents who do have knowledge about climate change and those who don’t and everyone in between.

The question we are looking to explore as a panel is ‘How can Stevenage Council and residents work together to reach the aspiration of being carbon zero in the future?’

This is going to be an online event with sessions held over four evenings in October, so you have to be able to attend every session – that is the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th.  They will last for 2 hours from 17:30 – 19:30.

If you are interested in attending the panel please fill out the following form and we will get back to you by the 7th October if you have been selected.
